How to Join

Recruitment seasons take place every Fall semester, and classes are initiated into Sigma Iota Rho every Winter semester. The application for initiation in the Winter 2017 semester is available here.

* Majoring or minoring in International Studies

* Junior or Senior status

* Full-time student status

* Overall 3.3 GPA or higher

* 3.4 or higher GPA in IS coursework

* 5 courses or more completed in IS coursework by end of Fall 2015

 

Notes:

* Language courses do not count toward GPA or course number requirements

* IS coursework GPA does include CICS 101

Active members of Sigma Iota Rho must attend weekly meetings, perform work on assigned committees, with additional week meetings for those in leadership positions. Members must also pay an annual $45 fee.
